Where Spain meets France and the Mediterranean is an area of huge cultural influences, history and environmental diversity. The high mountains of the Pyrenees the Sandy beaches, hidden coves, monasteries overhanging valleys, deserted villages. African, Arabic, Roman ... all had something to say about this area. This is the stomping ground of Salvador Dali ....need I say more. I joined fergal who was touring Europe at the time. Check out the Hi-Ace .... the most travelled Hi Ace in Europe. Some of the last pictures are from the town of Cadaques (Dali's home place) - notice how the rock structures seen in some photos turn up in some of his paintings. The last picture is of a train station in perpignan that Dali spoke of as the centre of the world.
